ALBAY -Magayon Festival is a yearly celebration derived from the legend of the Mayon Volcano to honor the province’s bounty and beauty. The festival is held in Legazpi City of the Albay province on Bicol island.

The most spectacular thing about this festival is that it blends the culture, religion as well as the rich heritage of the locals in Albay, Philippines. CAMARINES NORTE – Bantayog Festival Philippines Bantayog Festival is celebrated in Camarines Norte every April 25th. Bantayog festival features the book of Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippines’ As the term suggests, Bantayog festival features the storied First Rizal Monument or ·unang Bantayog ni Dr. Jose Rizal” which is the centerpiece of the celebration. It is held in conjunction with the province foundation anniversary.

CAMARINES SUR – The Kaogma Festival marks the foundation day (May 27, 1569) of Camarines Sur in the Philippines. Former Governor Luis R Villafuerte started this festival; he sent researchers, including Prof. Danny Gerona, to Spain to determine the foundation day of Camarines Sur.

The researchers found that the birth date of the province is May 27, 1589. It originated in Naga City, and for several years, it was also held there. It was only transferred to Pili when Luis Raymund Villafuerte became governor in 2004. The word “kaogma” is derived from the Bicolano word meaning “happy.” Kaogma Festival is a week-long pageant of colorful activities.

The Kaogma Festival title has been modified to “Kaogma Mardi Gras: the World’s Hottest Festival”. Kaogma translates to “a good time” in the local. 


CATANDUANES – Abaca Festival -The Abaca Festival or formally known as Catanduanes Abaka Festival is a festival held each year in Virac, Catanduanes, Philippines. The celebration happens every 4th week of May. 

The festival is cognizant of the importance of abaca fiber or Manila hemp industry in the local economy and the need to showcase its versatility as a major source of livelihood and craft material which has brought Catanduanes fame and fortune. 

The festival will showcase the life and resilient spirit of the Catandunganon and its culture, as well as the uniqueness and exoticness of the island and its people. 

MASBATE – Pamasayan Festival Mandaon, Masbate is known for its annual Pamasayan Festival. ‘ Pamasayan’ is the way of harvesting or production of “pasayan” which means “shrimp”. Aside from fishing, pamasayan is also one of the main products of Mandaon.


SORSOGON – Kasanggayahan Festival The Kasanggayahan Festival is the largest celebration for the whole province of Sorsogon. It commemorates the declaration of Sorsogon as a province. 

This festival is included in the Department of Tourism’s list of festivals and celebrations in the Philippines. Most disciplined contingent
